TransKarachi, the Project Implementation Agency of the Karachi Red Line BRT project, invites applications from dynamic and experienced professionals for the following contractual positions based in Karachi. Appointments will be made strictly on merit through a transparent selection process.
Position: General Manager Operations
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: Master’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Transport Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior management role, preferably in BRT or mass transit systems
Responsibilities: Oversee the entire operations of the BRT Red Line project including contract service management, biogas plant delivery, operational planning, quality assurance, and performance monitoring
Position: Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Specialist

Qualification: Master’s degree in IT, Transport Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; a diploma in ITS programming is an added advantage
Experience: Minimum 7 years overall with 3 years in a leadership role within ITS operations for public or mass transit systems
Responsibilities: Supervise ITS infrastructure such as control centers, CCTV surveillance, Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems, data connectivity, and fiber optic integration across buses, depots, and terminals
Position: Procurement & Contract Manager
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: Master’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a relevant field; CIPS or MRICS certification preferred
Experience: Minimum 17 years of overall professional experience with at least 13 years in procurement under ADB, World Bank, or other multilateral donor-funded projects
Responsibilities: Lead the procurement and contract management process in compliance with ADB regulations for consulting and non-consulting services
Position: NMT Infrastructure Officer
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transport Engineering from a recognized university
Experience: At least 3.5 years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) infrastructure such as pedestrian pathways, bicycle lanes, and other public access facilities
Responsibilities: Support and monitor the development and maintenance of infrastructure that promotes walking and cycling as part of the BRT Red Line system
Position: Assistant Manager Occupational Health & Safety
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering; NEBOSH, IGC, or OSHA certification is mandatory
Experience: Minimum 7 years in occupational health and safety with at least 5 years in transport or construction sector projects, preferably in IFC/ADB-compliant environments
Responsibilities: Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards, perform site risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement safety protocols across project construction and operational phases
