The Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC), established under the KW&SC Act-2023, is a major public sector utility responsible for delivering safe drinking water and efficient sewerage services to Karachi’s citizens. Currently undergoing a robust institutional reform, KW&SC invites applications from dynamic and visionary individuals to lead this transformation. The position offers a chance to spearhead strategic reforms in one of Pakistan’s most critical service sectors.

Position Available

• Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  Location: Karachi
  Tenure: 4 Years (Contractual, extendable)
  Age Limit: Maximum 60 years (as of the closing date)
  Salary Package: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the head and Principal Accounting Officer of the Corporation
• Lead strategic and operational planning, implementation, and performance monitoring
• Ensure effective administrative and financial oversight under the KW&SC Act-2023
• Provide visionary leadership to improve services, infrastructure, commercial systems, and human capital
• Manage relationships with the Board and key internal/external stakeholders
• Lead organizational reforms and change management programs
• Maintain high standards of corporate governance, transparency, and service delivery

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

• Minimum Master’s Degree or 16 years of education in:
  • Business Administration
  • Public Administration
  • Management Sciences
  • Finance
  • Commerce
  • Engineering
    (from HEC-recognized universities or internationally reputed institutions)
• OR: Fellow Member of recognized professional accounting bodies (e.g., ICAP/ICMAP) with HEC equivalence to Master’s degree

Experience:

• 18 years of relevant experience in large-scale Public or Private sector organizations
• Minimum 5 years in a senior management or C-Level leadership position
• Preference for candidates with international development exposure or experience managing public utilities
• Prior experience in institutional reform, restructuring, and large entity management is highly desirable
