Karachi Shipyard Project Internship Program 2025. Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KSEW) invites applications from talented and motivated individuals for its Project Internship Program (Paid). The program is designed to train individuals in various Ship Building cadres and offers a pathway to contractual employment based on performance during the internship.
Available Positions and Specializations
Intern Officers leading to Assistant Manager (Tech) – 10 Positions
Specialties include:
Hull Fabrication, QC-NDT, Work Preparation, Planning and Scheduling, Machinery Movement/Transfer
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification: BE in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Material, Construction or equivalent (from PEC-accredited universities/institutions)
Experience: Relevant field experience preferred
Maximum Age Limit: 25 years
Intern Workers leading to Technical Assistant – 50 Positions
Categories:
Work Preparator – 20 Positions (Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Welding, Fabrication)
Scheduler – 10 Positions
Quality Control – 20 Positions (NDT in Hull, Welding, Mechanical, Electrical, Painting, Outfitting)
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification: DAE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Metallurgy, Material, Construction or equivalent
Candidates with FSc and 2-year diploma in Ship Construction Technology may apply for Work Preparator positions
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed OJT, internship, or short courses from STS (KS&EW) or NAVTTC
Maximum Age Limit: 25 years
Intern Workers leading to Technicians – 120 Positions
Specializations:
Tech (Mechanical) – 10
Tech (Electrical) – 20
Machinist – 5
Welders – 20
Gouger – 10
Steel Fabricator – 10
Cold Bender – 5
Hot Former – 10
Pipe Fabricators – 10
Pipe Fitter – 15
Pipe Welder/Brazing – 5
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification: Matric (DAE in Mechanical, Construction, Metallurgy or equivalent preferred)
Preference will be given to candidates with OJT, internship, or short courses from STS (KS&EW)
Maximum Age Limit: 25 years
General Instructions
– The selected candidates will undergo a 12-month Paid Internship under the Project Internship Program
– Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview
– No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview
