Positions with Qualifications
Chairperson, Higher Education Commission (HEC)
- Eligibility Criteria: The applicant shall:
- Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of Higher Education with at least 10 years of post-Ph.D. experience.
- Have a distinguished portfolio of research publications.
- Be a person of international eminence with academic and administrative experience in Higher Education.
- Not be more than 65 years of age on the last date fixed for submission of the application.
- Qualification and Experience: The candidate must be well-versed in academics, research, administration/management, policy formulation, have experience teaching at a prestigious university, and possess proven leadership qualities. The candidate must be a self-driven, committed, and highly professional person.
- Terms of Appointment: The Chairperson HEC shall be appointed by the Prime Minister for a period of 02 years, extendable for one more similar term. The appointee will be entitled to draw the “Chairperson HEC Salary Package”.
