Benazir Nashonuma Program Eligibility Registration and Benefits, The Government of Pakistan, under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), has launched the Benazir Nashonuma Program to provide nutritional and financial support to pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under 2 years of age. This program, supported by the World Food Programme (WFP), aims to improve the health and development of mothers and children.
Eligibility Criteria for Benazir Nashonuma Program
To benefit from the Benazir Nashonuma Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Registration in BISP:
- Women must be registered in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
- Eligible Categories:
- Pregnant women
- Lactating mothers
- Children under 2 years of age (0-23 months)

Registration Process for Benazir Nashonuma Program
Follow these steps to register for the program:
- Visit the Nearest Nashonuma Center:
- Go to the Nashonuma Center located at your local Tehsil or District Headquarters.
- Required Documents:
- Woman’s Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)
- Child’s B-Form
- Child’s Vaccination Card
Benefits of Benazir Nashonuma Program
The program provides the following financial and nutritional support:
- Support for Pregnant Women:
- PKR 2,500 every three months during pregnancy.
- Support After Childbirth:
- PKR 2,500 every three months for a baby boy.
- PKR 3,000 every three months for a baby girl (including PKR 500 for travel expenses).
- This financial assistance continues until the child reaches 2 years of age.
- Special Nutritional Support:
- Pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under 2 years of age receive specialized food supplements to improve their health and development.
Importance of Benazir Nashonuma Program
Nutritional deficiency is a significant issue in Pakistan, with the following impacts:
- According to the National Nutrition Survey 2018:
- 40%Â of children under 5 suffer from stunted growth due to malnutrition.
- 18%Â of children under 5 are underweight for their age.
- Pregnant and lactating women also face various forms of nutritional deficiencies.
The Benazir Nashonuma Program aims to address these issues by providing adequate nutrition during the first 1,000 days of a child’s life (from pregnancy to 2 years of age), which is critical for physical and mental development.

- Be a pregnant woman, lactating mother, or have a child under 2 years of age.
