PPHI Sindh, a reputable not-for-profit company established under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017 (formerly Companies Ordinance, 1984), is committed to redefining primary healthcare services across Sindh. In collaboration with the Sindh Integrated Health and Population Program – 1000 Days Initiative, PPHI Sindh is seeking dynamic, dedicated, and community-oriented individuals for the position of Community Health Workers (CHWs). This recruitment drive is on a contract basis and is open to female candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria and are residents of Sindh province.
Position Title: Community Health Worker (CHW)
Type of Employment: Contract-based
Age Limit: 20 to 30 years
Qualification Required: Intermediate (12 years of education)
Preference: Married women residing within the same Union Council (UC) as the health facility. Candidates must have a CNIC with a matching UC address, either their own or their husband’s. Preference will be given to those whose husband or brother consents to support their mobility and owns a motorbike.
Mandatory Documents at the Time of Application and Interview: CNIC, UC Certificate, Domicile, PRC, Academic Certificates, Experience Letters (if applicable)
Districts and Health Facilities for Posting:
CHWs are required in multiple districts including Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Dadu, Kamber Shahdadkot, Larkana, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Naushahro Feroze, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi (District Malir), Thatta, and Sujawal. The health facilities where CHWs will be posted include a wide network of government dispensaries, rural health centers, and mother and child health units located in Union Councils and talukas such as Sehwan, Latifabad, Kotri, Mehar, Johi, Kamber, Miro Khan, Larkano, Ratodero, Jacobabad, Gambat, Khairpur, Mehrabpur, Khipro, Nawabshah, Daur, Korangi, Bin Qasim, Thatta, Jatti, and many others.
Key Responsibilities of CHWs:
Deliver health education and awareness to women and families in their assigned UCs
Assist local health facilities with outreach and maternal and child health programs
Support immunization and nutrition initiatives as guided by the PPHI and Sindh Integrated Health Program
Engage with community members to promote antenatal care, family planning, and hygiene practices
Ensure data collection and reporting as per assigned formats and guidelines
Coordinate with supervisors and attend periodic training and review meetings
