Career Opportunity at Aga Khan Education Service 2024, The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES, P), part of the Aga Khan Development Network, is dedicated to providing educational access to over 55,000 students through more than 154 schools and 6 hostels. We are currently inviting applications for the position of Principal at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Karachi.
Key Responsibilities
The Principal will lead a professional team comprising Vice Principals, Academic Coordinators, Student Counsellors, and distinguished lecturers. The key responsibilities include:
- Stewardship Role: Lead the school toward academic excellence by setting and executing strategic goals that reflect the institution’s commitment to education and holistic development.
- Curriculum Oversight: Ensure the effective implementation of the curricula from both the Aga Khan University Examination Board and the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).
- Diverse Functions Management: Oversee various functions, including teaching and learning, curriculum development, resource allocation, and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment that nurtures student growth.
- Collaboration: Work with accomplished principals and seasoned academicians from Pakistan and 12 other countries, sharing knowledge, experiences, and engaging in joint planning and deliberations on common standards.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree, preferably in Education.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of educational management experience at a reputable institution.
- Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a proven track record of effective classroom management, and excellent communication abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with experience in engaging with parents and the broader community.
