The Finance Department, Government of Sindh, through its Economic Reform Unit (ERU), invites applications from qualified Pakistani nationals for the position of Senior Financial Analyst on a contract basis. Qualifications and Experience Required:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration (Finance) or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university. A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in the public or private sector is required. Preference will be given to those with direct experience in financial analysis, budget preparation, or public sector reform programs.
The applicant must demonstrate strong analytical and report writing skills, proficiency in communication, and advanced computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Fiscal & Financial Manager (FFM) in all matters related to financial planning and budget coordination
Support in preparing multi-year budgets for Medium-Term Budgetary Framework (MTBF) pilot departments and their subordinate units
Assist in organizing and conducting training workshops for departmental officers and DDOS of MTBF line departments
Prepare MTBF budget statements for pilot departments
Provide direct support to departmental officials in developing budget proposals and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
Analyze budgetary data from various MTBF departments to support evidence-based financial planning
Support the ERU in consolidating departmental MTBF budgets and presenting financial insights
Supervise the team of Financial Analysts and ensure timely completion of assigned financial tasks
Assist the Fiscal & Financial Manager in various assignments related to the enhancement of budgetary practices in the province
Terms of Appointment:
The position is purely on a contract basis, initially for a period of two years, with the possibility of annual extensions based on satisfactory performance. A competitive, market-based salary package will be offered to the selected candidate.
