Government of Sindh Home Department Jobs 2025: The Home Department, Government of Sindh, has announced an excellent career opportunity for dynamic and experienced professionals to lead the Karachi Safe City Project as Project Director. This role offers a chance to contribute to one of the province’s most important urban safety initiatives.

Position Details

Position Title: Project Director
Location: Karachi, Sindh
Job Type: Contract (2 years – extendable based on performance)
Salary: Competitive market-based salary package

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:
Minimum 16 years of education (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in the following disciplines:

Electronics
Computer Science
Telecommunication Engineering
Information Technology
Information Security
Artificial Intelligence
Law
Public Administration
Business Administration
International/Cybersecurity
Degrees must be from HEC-recognized national or international universities.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the public sector or in project management related to security frameworks and policy formulation
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in Safe City or Smart City Projects and management of mega-scale projects

Age Limit: Maximum 55 years

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all phases of the Karachi Safe City Project as per PC-I
Coordinate between project stakeholders and executive agency
Monitor timelines, cost, quality, and project portfolio management
Ensure project alignment with strategic goals and government regulations
Manage project documentation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder compliance
Prepare and manage PC-I/II for Home Department approvals
Present updates and strategic briefings to higher authorities
Ensure full compliance with SPPRA, PPRA, and Safe City Authority Act 2019

Required Skills

Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong negotiation and communication capabilities
In-depth knowledge of Government Procurement Rules, including SPPRA & PPRA
