The Job Opportunities at H.E.J Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, is offering exciting job opportunities under the Establishment/Upgradation and Operation of CPQL and FPTRL at the Department of Plant Protection, Karachi.
These positions are available on a contract basis for three years (renewable annually), and selected candidates will receive competitive salary packages based on their qualifications and experience.
Available Positions
1. Senior Technical Expert
- Vacancies: 01
- Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master’s in Organic/Analytical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Biomedical Engineering
- Experience: At least 10 years in a well-equipped analytical lab (Pharmaceutical/Pesticide Residues, Aflatoxin, Heavy Metals Analysis). Must have hands-on experience with chromatography equipment (GCMS, LCMS, HPLC).
- Salary: Rs. 300,000 per month
2. Microbiologist
- Vacancies: 02
- Qualifications: M.Sc./BS in Microbiology or Biotechnology
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a well-equipped lab with expertise in PCR and RT-PCR. Preference for candidates with a Food Auditor course (ISO/IEC 17025:2017).
- Salary: Rs. 120,000 per month
3. Senior Chemist
- Vacancies: 03
- Qualifications: Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Analytical/Organic Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- Experience: At least 5 years in a pharmaceutical/chemical/food lab, particularly in handling analytical equipment like HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, AA, ICP-OES. ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification will be preferred.
- Salary: Rs. 120,000 per month
4. Lab Technician
- Vacancies: 02
- Qualifications: Intermediate with Science/Diploma
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with analytical equipment.
- Salary: Rs. 50,000 per month
5. Electronic Engineer
- Vacancies: 01
- Qualifications: BE/MS in Electronic Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with analytical equipment.
- Salary: Rs. 100,000 per month
6. Lab Assistant / Attendant
- Vacancies: 02
- Qualifications: Matric with Science
- Experience: Preference for candidates with prior experience as Laboratory Attendants.
- Salary: Rs. 40,000 per month
7. Accountant
- Vacancies: 01
- Qualifications: B.Com/BBA
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts and finance, with proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (PEACH Tree, QuickBooks, Tally, etc.)
- Salary: Rs. 80,000 per month
