Jobs at Government of Sindh Finance Department. The Finance Department, Government of Sindh invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the following position on a purely contract basis for an initial period of three (03) years, extendable based on performance.

Position Title:
Financial Analyst – Tax Reform Unit
Number of Positions: 01

Educational Qualification & Experience:
Master’s degree in Economics or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 1 year in economic research (especially in modelling and forecasting of tax revenues).
Experience in tax administration or tax policy is desirable.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and statistical software used for economic research.
Sound understanding of the provincial tax policy and regulatory system.
Must be fluent in English, Urdu, and Sindhi (spoken and written).

Age Limit:
Not exceeding 35 years

Job Description:
To monitor weekly revenue collection trends and provide analytical feedback to tax entities via Finance Department.
To act as liaison between tax collecting agencies and research entities.
To provide statistical support to the Tax Reform Unit and external research partners.
To stay updated with international best practices in tax-related research.
To assist the Tax Management Specialist in reviewing research reports and ensuring quality.
To organize and participate in presentations, workshops, and tax study briefings.
To draft Terms of References (ToRs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for research tasks.
To review tax research requirements and documentation submitted by provincial agencies.
To support the recruitment and evaluation process of consultants/firms for research projects.
To submit periodic performance and research-related reports.
To perform any other duties assigned by the Tax Management Specialist.

Terms of Appointment:
Initial contract: 3 years (extendable for another 3 years based on performance).
A competitive, market-based salary package will be offered.
