Shanghai Electric, a leading multinational in the energy and natural resources sector, invites applications for the position of Manager – Commercial at its Karachi Office under its coal mining division. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in commercial operations, procurement, and contract management within the natural resources or renewable energy industry.

Manager – Commercial (Coal Mining Industry)

Key Responsibilities
- Independently handle day-to-day commercial and procurement activities.
- Manage material and service contracts for the company; draft contract documentation in both Chinese and English; participate in negotiation and signing.
- Supervise local contract payments and ensure compliance.
- Participate in sourcing, supplier development, and evaluation processes; implement procurement plans to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Manage pricing-related activities, especially the adjustment of coal Tariff RIC.
- Liaise with relevant departments for coal tariff adjustment applications.
- Support senior management with assigned commercial and procurement-related tasks.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Economics, Supply Chain, Finance Management, or a related field; additional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar commercial/procurement role, preferably in the natural resources or energy sector.
- Strong experience in contract management, negotiation, procurement cycles, and settlement processes.
- Proficient in pricing model analysis, supplier development, and handling large datasets.
- Solid understanding of local business regulations, procurement procedures, and commercial laws.
- Competency in business software and procurement-related platforms.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of Chinese language is a significant plus.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only candidates based in Karachi are eligible to apply.
- Must be willing to work full-time at the Clifton-based Karachi office.
