TransKarachi, the Project Implementation Agency for the Karachi Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for various key positions based in Karachi. These positions are contractual and recruitment will be strictly based on merit through a rigorous selection process.

Chief Operating Officer – 01 Post
Public Consultation Officer – 01 Post
Office Assistant – 03 Posts
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Karachi
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification:
– Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Project Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related discipline from an HEC recognized university
– Degree from an internationally recognized institution is an advantage
– Certification in project management frameworks such as PMP, FIDIC is highly desirable
Experience:
– Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 7 years in senior management positions
– Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure/urban transport projects
– Experience with international financing institutions/development agencies will be preferred
– Strong leadership abilities, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery under high-pressure environments
– Experience with public-private partnerships is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
– Serve as principal deputy to the CEO
– Supervise senior management staff and monitor operational units
– Lead implementation of strategic initiatives including infrastructure, planning, and stakeholder engagement
– Establish performance benchmarks, conduct evaluations, and ensure project alignment
Public Consultation Officer
Location: Karachi

Qualification:
– Postgraduate degree or equivalent in Conflict Management, Urban Development, or Law
Experience:
– 3–5 years of experience in public consultation, stakeholder engagement, or community outreach in infrastructure or public sector projects
– Prior work with vulnerable communities, civil society organizations, multilateral development banks (e.g., ADB), and government entities is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage community and stakeholder consultation processes for the Red Line BRT project
– Ensure inclusive engagement and that community concerns are incorporated in project decisions
Office Assistant
Location: Karachi
No. of Posts: 03
Qualification:
– Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized university
– Strong communication skills, MS Office proficiency, English writing, and office management
Experience:
– Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
– At least 1 year in a similar support role is preferred
– Prior experience with engineering or infrastructure firms will be advantageous
