The Pakistan Air Force (PAF), a symbol of national pride, invites young and talented individuals to join its ranks as Commissioned Officers under Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC) programs.

Online Registration Details

  • Registration Period: February 3, 2025, to February 16, 2025
  • Eligibility: Candidates must possess a valid NADRA Smart Card.

Permanent Commission (PC)

1. 159 General Duty Pilot (GDP) Course

  • Age: 16 to 22 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
  • Education: F.Sc. with at least 65% marks in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, or Computer Science.
  • Training Duration: 4 years

2. 105 Aeronautical Engineering Course

  • Age: 16 to 22 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
  • Education: F.Sc. Pre-Engineering or equivalent with at least 65% marks.
  • Training Duration: 4 years

3. 115 Air Defence Course

  • Age: 16 to 22 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
  • Education: F.Sc. with at least 65% marks in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, or Computer Science.
  • Training Duration: 4 years

4. 34 Admin & Special Duties Course

  • Age: 16 to 22 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
  • Education: F.Sc. or equivalent with at least 65% marks.
  • Training Duration: 4 years

5. 17 Logistics Course

  • Age: 16 to 22 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm)
  • Education: F.Sc. or equivalent with at least 65% marks.
  • Training Duration: 4 years

Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC)

1. JAG (Legal) Branch (135 CSC SSC)

  • Age: 21 to 30 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Education: LLB (minimum 2nd Division or 50% marks).
  • Training Duration: 24 weeks

2. Education Branch (135 CSC SPSSC/SSC)

  • Age: 21 to 30 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Education: MA/MSc/MS in specified fields with at least 2.5 CGPA or 2nd Division.
  • Training Duration: 24 weeks

3. IT Branch (135 CSC SSC)

  • Age: 21 to 30 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering (minimum 2.5 CGPA or 62.5% marks).
  • Training Duration: 24 weeks

4. MET Branch (135 CSC SSC)

  • Age: 18 to 30 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Education: BS/MSc in Meteorology or relevant fields.
  • Training Duration: 24 weeks

5. Accounts Branch (135 CSC SSC)

  • Age: 21 to 30 years (as of October 15, 2025)
  • Gender: Male
  • Education: MBA/BS (Finance or Accounting) or equivalent with a minimum of 2.5 CGPA or 50% marks.
  • Training Duration: 24 weeks

Selection Procedure

The selection process includes:

  1. Initial Tests: Covering Intelligence, English, Physics, and relevant subjects.
  2. Physical Test: Includes running, push-ups, and sit-ups.
  3. Interview and Final Selection: At ISSB or Air Headquarters.

Ineligibility Conditions

  • Rejected by ISSB twice for PMA/Naval/PAF courses.
  • Medically unfit.
  • Dismissed from government service.
