Qualifications:
- PhD in Economics or Public Policy from an HEC-recognized national/international university with 10 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a policy-making role in economic, planning, or development sectors
OR - Master’s in Economics or Public Policy with 14 years of professional experience, including 3 years at the policy-making level
Job Description:
The Head of Strategic Planning and Policy Unit will lead the development of national strategic plans, ensuring alignment with both national priorities and global best practices. Responsibilities include conducting situational analyses, identifying policy gaps, and developing long-term strategic responses. The role requires coordination with government agencies, academia, think tanks, and civil society to formulate evidence-based policy recommendations.

The Head of Sectoral Transformation Units will lead the implementation of URAAN Pakistan’s 5Es framework, working across sectors such as Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment, Energy, and Equity. This position requires foresight analysis, trend monitoring, and horizon scanning to anticipate future national and global developments. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating across federal/provincial governments, international partners, and civil society to develop sectoral transformation strategies.
