Planning Development Department PDD Sindh Jobs. The Planning & Development Department, Government of Sindh, invites applications from highly qualified and experienced professionals for appointment on merit-based, transparent recruitment to strengthen policy planning, monitoring, and development coordination capacities under the foreign aid coordination mechanism. The position is purely contractual, initially for two (02) years, extendable based on performance.

Scale: SMP Scale-II

Salary Package: As per Sindh Management Position Scales Policy, 2022

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification:
    • PhD in Information Technology or Computer Science from an HEC-recognized university OR
    • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree (minimum 16 years education) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    • At least 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience for Master’s/Bachelor’s holders.
    • At least 6 years of post-qualification experience for PhD holders.
  • Maximum Age Limit: 62 years at the time of application submission.
  • Domicile: Candidate must hold a Sindh domicile and PRC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation of long-term IT-related development plans for approval at ECNEC, DDWP, PDWP, CDWP levels.
  • Provide technical input on IT components of development schemes and policy initiatives.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review the performance and implementation of IT-related development projects.
  • Prepare and vet CDWP/ECNEC submissions, concept notes, and project completion reports.
  • Develop strategies, annual plans, and policy documents aligned with Sindh’s IT development framework.
  • Ensure proper digital records and automation systems for P&D and related departments.
  • Collaborate with provincial departments, federal ministries, and donors on IT sector coordination.
  • Any other duties assigned by the competent authority.
