A Strategic Leadership Role at the Forefront of Rural Development

Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP), a cornerstone of rural development and community upliftment in Punjab, has announced a significant career opportunity for a high-caliber professional to join its executive team as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). This is not merely a compliance role; it is a strategic leadership position designed to fortify the organization’s governance structures, safeguard its assets, and ensure its long-term sustainability and mission integrity. The CRO will be instrumental in embedding a robust risk-aware culture across all facets of the organization’s operations, working closely with senior management and the Board of Directors to navigate the complexities of the development sector.

The successful candidate will be tasked with spearheading the evolution and implementation of a comprehensive Risk Management & Compliance Framework. This involves a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating a wide spectrum of risks—from financial and operational to reputational and regulatory.

The CRO will act as a trusted advisor, providing critical insights and strategic guidance that will inform decision-making at the highest levels. A key part of the role will be to navigate the complex web of regulatory, donor, and internal compliance requirements, ensuring the organization maintains its reputation for transparency and accountability. Furthermore, the CRO will champion the cause of risk awareness by developing and delivering training programs for staff on fraud prevention and ethical conduct.

PRSP is searching for a seasoned professional with a deep-seated understanding of both financial intricacies and the unique challenges of the development sector. The ideal candidate will possess not only the requisite academic and professional qualifications (such as a Master’s degree or professional accounting membership combined with certifications like CFA or FRM) but also a proven track record of at least a decade in high-level risk management or audit roles. Strong analytical prowess, unwavering integrity, and exceptional leadership and communication skills are paramount. In return, PRSP offers a market-competitive package and a one-year contractual role with the potential for renewal, providing a unique platform to contribute to meaningful, large-scale projects that uplift rural communities across Punjab. If you are a strategic thinker with the qualifications and drive to protect and enhance a mission-driven organization, PRSP invites you to apply.
