A Pivotal Role in Strengthening Access to Justice in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a highly skilled national expert for a crucial consultancy aimed at enhancing the Rule of Law in Pakistan. This is a significant opportunity for a professional with deep expertise in the justice sector to contribute to a foundational aspect of human rights: access to justice for all. The Individual Consultant will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing legal aid mechanisms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a task that is fundamental to identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for reform. This report will include actionable recommendations for strengthening the system, improving service delivery, and ensuring the sustainability of legal aid programs. The findings will be instrumental for the UNDP, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other development partners in designing targeted interventions that align with international best practices and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
